Fortunately the decline of the TV theme song, and in particular the long song that explains the premise of the show, means that we are spared these creations.
During my time studying the French, I did not notice any sort of television program beyond news, and more specifically, the news-discussion roundtable. It was disturbing. There weren't even weather reports to go on. I am glad that the French are getting SOME drivel after all.

I only played the SG Atlantis one, but is sounded like a combination of, I dunno, "Soap" and "Dallas", perhaps.
